First baby scan & First heartbeat .. 11 Jan 2023

 A Magical Moment ! On 11 Jan 2023. 

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and we went to our usual doctor - Dr LC Cheng for check up and scanning. =) I wish I blog all of this down when the info were all still fresh in my mind. Right now, I gotta squeeze my pregnancy brain. 

This day was a special one. Back then I didn't feel all that special.. just feeling normal. Until the baby scan and that changes everything. 

... You Had Me at Hello

I was feeling sort of worried not because it is our very first scan to see baby. But because I simply did not feel anything at all. I thought I was supposed to feel excited, happy or something. So then...I decided to say "Hello". And there.... baby stretch out both his hands and legs; just like my cat Sophie! I thought to myself... "Wowwww! Did he learn this from Sophie?" It was so strange.. but at that moment I had a sudden gush of feeling nothing but magical. He really had me at Hello. It was such an incredible feeling that is hard to describe it in words.

Since then... I have nothing but full of love for my little one ♥

Doctor told us that his heartbeat was at 190 bpm. I went back home to google and noticed that this heartbeat seems to be way too high and I got worried.

I spam-read forums searching for other people experiences who had similar high fetal high bpm. My anxiety reduced when majority said this isn't much of a concern or issue. As fetal heartbeat will reduce overtime.

Indeed... they were right. It did went down by the weeks. Slowly to 180...then 170, 160.... My previous scan at 28 weeks / 7 months pregnant, my baby bpm was at exactly 140.

My advise is to trust your gynae and try your best not to sweat these sort of stuffs. Although.. yes I know... it's easier said than done. Cause I can't do it either! Else I wouldn't be spam-reading all the forums and all.
